CONDITIONS FOR RENTAL

Please read this waiver carefully:
By submitting this application form, I, the student listed above, am voluntarily participating in sailing activities with Barnegat Bay Sailing School. I understand that sailing is a sport that involves risk such as injury, loss or damage. I understand that I share the responsibility for safety and agree to practice safe boating. I have taken and successfully completed an ASA Basic Keelboat or equivalent course and feel fully competent to operate a 19-25 foot sailboat. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Barnegat Bay Sailing School, Cedar Creek Marina, their agents, officers and employees from all claims of injury to person or property arising from my participation in sailing through Barnegat Bay Sailing School. A $40 orientation fee is required for all first time rentals with the exception of BBSS students. Half- day rentals are from 10am – 2pm or from 2:30pm – 6:30pm. There will be a $50 charge for each half hour of late return. There will be a $100 charge if we are required to come out to tow or assist in your return.

Payments:
Reservations will be confirmed and dates held upon the receipt of a $120 deposit. Final payment in cash is due the first day of rental. Cancellations less than 48 hours prior to rental; No refunds, but person may reschedule another rental date within the same sailing season. Full payment will be charged to the credit card plus a rescheduling fee of $25 if rescheduling is requested. Cancellations more than 48 hours in advance; All fees refunded less a $50 cancellation fee or $25 rescheduling fee. All rentals require a $500 security deposit that will be fully refunded upon inspection of vessel for damages.
